Weekday Urban Sketchers at the Flower Show and Hung Yi  Animal Sculptures



This week the Weekday Sketchers will explore explosive color and fantastic creatures.  First we will visit the Macy's Flower Show where the flagship store is turned into a wonderland of fantastic floral displays.  After a lunch break we will work our way up Broadway from 36th to 40th Streets to sketch a heard of fantastic animals created by the artist Hung Yi.

LOCATION: MACY'S HERALD SQUARE.
                      We will meet in front of the store on Broadway between 34th and 35th Streets.  

TRANSPORTATION: B. D. F, M, N, Q, R, W to 34th Street.

This is a day for color however for the first part of the day we will be in a crowded retail space, please bring a dry medium that is easy to use: watercolor pencils, markers etc. It is doubtful that you will be able to use a stool in the store.  The afternoon session will be outdoors along the seating area on Broadway where there are tables and chairs where you can set up and use watercolor.  Our lunch break will be in the seating area outside of Macy's along Broadway.
