Weekday Sketcher do the Mural Arts Program in Jersey City

Jersey City has commissioned 99 artists to paint murals around the city and we are going to capture some of them in our sketchbooks. You know the woodcut of the wave done by Japanese artist Hokusai?  Well, Jersey City has one too. And a giant giraffe ,and Neptune rising from the sea,  and  Jim Bowie and ....much more. You can Google the murals for a peak at what we will be working on or visit Ling Chen's Instagram account to see how a local artist has captured these images:

We will meet on the plaza by the Grove Street Station and work on the many murals in the immediate vicinity. Bring a stool and some lunch, or purchase lunch from the many restaurants in the area.
