FRIDAY, November 7, 2025: WESTCHESTER Sketchers at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers

The Hudson River Museum is a preeminent cultural institution in Westchester County and the New York metropolitan area. Situated on the banks of the Hudson River in Yonkers, New York, the HRM’s mission is to engage, inspire, and connect diverse communities through the power of the arts, sciences, and history.

Current exhibitions include:

DRAW: Heat

Drawing has always been fundamental to artists, offering great freedom to work out ideas, experiment with techniques, and create striking works of art in a wide range of media. In DRAW: Heat, fifty contemporary artists from across the United States, including Westchester County and the Hudson Valley region, explore the theme of “heat” in literal and metaphorical ways: the extreme heat caused by global warming, inequities of who is most affected by heatwaves, trends that make ideas “hot,” the passion behind an idea or argument, and even the perceived heat of contrasting ideologies. Utilizing the ephemerality and urgency of drawing, these works engage these moments and their contingent complexities.

Beyond the Frame: Highlights from the HRM Archive
Beyond the Frame showcases more than a century of everyday life and perseverance in Yonkers, as well as the HRM’s vital role in its cultural scene.
