THURSDAY, November 13, 2025: WESTCHESTER Sketchers at the Rye Arts Center

The Rye Art Center was founded in 1960 by five Rye families and four hundred odd dollars. It has grown into the largest multi-arts center in the region. We will be sketching their current exhibits.

COMPLEMENTS is provocative, whimsical, witty, and spotlights the serendipitous creations of two powerfully inventive minds. Art imitating art, without knowing it.

The artist's Tropical Surrealism series reimagines ancestral memory and Afro-Indigenous culture through vibrant, dreamlike scenes that confront the legacy of colonization and environmental injustice. In the Generation Series, Gabriela turns inward to reflect on motherhood, loss, and lineage, honoring the women who shaped her life.
