Saturday 5/23/26: The Vessel/ Hudson Yards

 

The Vessel, The High Line, The Shed, Hudson Yards, art installations, and shops and restaurants… while we continue to wait for better weather, this comfortable location provides plenty of opportunities to sketch some of NYC’s newer attractions and experiences, indoors or out.

**Please note- Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, this is a change from the originally scheduled location shown in the Calendar of Events on the website. Hudson Yards gives us both indoor and outdoor sketching options, hopefully the weather allows some outside time. Governor’s Island, the originally scheduled location, will be rescheduled to a later date.

DATE: Saturday 5/23/26
TIME: Sketching 10am - 3pm | Show and Tell beginning at 3pm.
SKETCHING LOCATION: The Vessel/ Hudson Yards- Between 10th and 11th Avenues and 30th and 33rd Streets

MEETING LOCATION: There will be no official meeting to kick off the day, join your fellow sketchers and just start sketching. If you are new, look for people with sketchbooks and say hello, we are a friendly bunch.
SHOW AND TELL LOCATION: If it’s not raining: The tables under the trees on the South West side of the Vessel. If it is raining: The tables on Level 4 of the mall, by the dining options (look for Shake Shack, Eataly, Magnolia Bakery, etc). Check with the host day-of for the exact show-and-tell location.
FOOD, DRINK, RESTROOMS, SEATING: Yes to all.
