This was definitely challenging, even harder than drawing the fencers. My lines were very sketchy, not as fluid as I would like. I went in afterwards and added black, something I noticed Mark was doing, hoping to give the drawings more clarity.
I'm very impressed how much of the spirit, and how many of the poses you were able to capture, Amy. Was just thinking, it would be fun to go to a salsa dance and draw that. Then compare and contrast with the tango drawings.
Amy - I am so impressed. Your sketches look terrific and capture the mood of the dancing perfectly. I struggled mightily and just couldn't seem to find the "sweet spot" like you and Mark did.
Salsa? Flamenco. any one? Looking at the drawing Amy did of the shoes made me think how about a sketch day where all we do is shoes? Not sure where the best place to catch shoes would be but I love those little sketches.

ReplyDeleteWow, Amy! You got so many sketches done and from my knowledge of the tango (based on Dancing With the Stars) you nailed the poses!!!
