Weekday Urban Sketcher in Riverside Park South Tuesday
Riverside Park South runs along the Hudson River from 57th St to 72nd Street. A narrow strip of land between the West Side Highway and the river the park offers great views of the Hudson, the GWB and NJ. In addition the park hosts the Art Students League Models to Monuments project. Join us for a sketch crawl along the length of the park to sketch the views, the monuments and the beautiful park created from a forgotten piece of real estate along the Hudson River.
DATE: TUESDAY AUGUST 22, 2017
TIME: 10:30 AM
LOCATION: We will meet at Pier 1 Cafe on the Riverside Park Pier at the end of 70th Street. From there we will keep working our way south to 57th Street. Bring lunch, water, a stool, and a hat.
TRANSPORTATION: 1train to 66th Street. Walk 2 1/2 blocks west to the river. There is an entrance to the park at about 68th Street . Follow the path north to the pier at 70th St.
