Weekday Sketchers at Battery Park/Brookfield Place Tuesday
The weather is looking iffy for Tuesday so we will be at a venue that will accommodate both indoor and outdoor sketching.....Battery Park and Brookfield Place.
Outdoors: Lots to sketch in Battery Park, The Irish Hunger Memorial looks like the heath in Ireland complete with a little stone house. The Gardens offer beautiful water features with ducks taking advantage of safe waters. The river front offers beautiful views with ferry boats and sailed ships going by. And, plenty of playgrounds with active children running around.
Indoors: If the weather turns bad we can go into the Winter Garden with a colorful temporary exhibit that will look good in any sketch book. Tepkik by Jordan Bennett is a First Nations inspired site specific installation introducing viewers to new cultures and stories.
Lots of places to eat, bathrooms nearby......what more can we ask for?
