Join us in the heart of Midtown for a day of Urban Sketching in Bryant Park! The park features the historic architecture of the New York Public Library, the Radiator Building, and the Empire State Building, as well as seasonal gardens, a carousel, the landmark fountain, chess players, and the iconic green bistro chairs. There is inspiration around every corner.
Other potentially fun park activities to sketch this Saturday: At 10am there will be a dance class, at 11am there will be a juggling class, and at 1pm there will be a Board Game Social. There is also an “Art Cart” workshop at 11:30, Painting Fans (free but registration recommended).
HOST: Matt Fazio- (239) 272-5108
DATE: Saturday 9/12/26
TIME: Sketching 10am-3pm | Show and Tell beginning at 3pm.
SKETCHING LOCATION: Bryant Park: 6th Avenue between 40th and 42nd streets, Manhattan, NY.
MEETING SPOT: Meet the host at 10am by the fountain, which is on the west side of the park, toward 6th Avenue.
SHOW AND TELL LOCATION: A shady spot by the fountain, which is on the west side of the park, toward 6th Avenue. Check with the host day-of for the exact show-and-tell location.
FOOD, DRINK, RESTROOMS, SEATING: Not only is there a restroom, but the Bryant Park Restroom is famous for resembling a luxury hotel powder room, complete with piped-in classical music, fresh flowers, fine art, and a full-time attendant. The fame can cause long lines, but there are plenty of other options in the area. There are tables and chairs throughout the park. A stool gives you more options. There is food throughout the park and neighborhood.
