This is a good one, - so much going on. We’re spending Saturday in Red Hook. We’ll be getting there by boat - the ferry at Pier 11/Wall St. There’s no neighborhood in NYC that has the vibe of Red Hook - lots to see, and lots to sketch and there's a big art show going on too.
The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition is running a national juried art show, More Art of Coney Island which will be opening on Saturday - July 30, 2022. Three of our regular Urban Sketchers are showing their work, and we’re all excited.
What: We’ll be sketching in Red Hook, and we’ll be getting there by ferry from Manhattan.
Where: The ferry leaves from Pier 11/Wall St, (see map below)
When: Be at the ferry at 9:30 AM on Saturday morning for the salt water journey. If you miss the boat a new one leaves about every half hour. Anyone sketching in Red Hook is probably an Urban Sketcher!
