SAVE THE DATES - September 17-19, 2022 - NYC Urban Sketchers Retreat to Princeton University


We are going back to school! To sketch, that is! Join us for a pleasurable 3 days as we get together to render our artistic interpretations of the beautiful campus of Princeton University and its surroundings. The Ivy League college architecture is Collegiate Gothic and includes buildings that once served as a hospital and barracks during the American Revolutionary War. So, let history meet art as we enjoy each other's company during this urban sketching getaway. 
Here is our preliminary itinerary:

SUNNY DAY ITINERARY

Saturday, September 17 - Meet at Hampton Inn in Princeton at 1 pm. Carpool to Princeton University with those who took public transportation. Gather in front of the Princeton University Chapel to sketch there or any other area on campus. Show and Tell at 5 pm. Dinner at 6.

Sunday, September 18 - Meet in the hotel breakfast room at about 8:30 am. Head over to Carnegie Lake for morning sketching. Lunch at 1 pm (Palmer Square restaurants). Afternoon sketching at the Art@Bainbridge Gallery or any other area on campus. Show and Tell at 5 pm. Dinner at 6.

Monday, September 19 - Meet for breakfast around 8:30 am. Check out of the hotel and head to Grounds for Sculpture (timed admission tickets needed) for morning sketching. Show and Tell at 2 pm. End of formal sketching event.

Sunday, September 18 - Meet in the hotel breakfast room at about 8:30 am. Go to the Morven Museum and Garden for morning sketching. Lunch at 1 pm. Afternoon sketching at the Art@ Bainbridge Gallery or any other sheltered area. Show and Tell at 5 pm. Dinner at 6.

Monday, September 19 - Meet for breakfast around 8:30 am. Check out of the hotel and head to the Grounds for Sculpture Museum building. Show and Tell at 2 pm. End of formal sketching event.
