NYC Fire Museum

Perfect day for an indoor sketching event (thanks Elaine for putting this together!) Here's a couple of the old-timey engines from our visit to the NYC Fire Museum.

This sketch is from a painting of Chief Engineer Harry Howard, one of the most celebrated engineers of the 19th century. On the right, a volunteer badge from 1860.

A sketch by Nicolas.

in between our two sessions, the group had lunch at Lupe's, a Mexican restaurant.

  1. Lance, both you and Nicholas did great sketches! He got some awesome detail in his steam engine. It looks like it was a great place for sketching...filled with lots of good subjects. Sorry I missed it.
