After lunch, I went for a walk to the waterfront and found a spot for another sketch before heading back for our show & tell. So this was a pencil day for me, no colours this time.

Sketching the 9/11 Memorial
It was the first time I've been to the Memorial, it is an impressive site. The water pouring down, its movement and sound, evokes a special atmosphere. I tried to capture the view over the north pool towards the white architectural structure from two different angles.
After lunch, I went for a walk to the waterfront and found a spot for another sketch before heading back for our show & tell. So this was a pencil day for me, no colours this time.

Lovely sketches. I particularly like the way you did the pools in graphite. It shows a sensitivity and peacefulness to the location, even though it felt like a circus with all the activity going on.
