SUNDAY: Sketch the Winter Garden

Sunday, February 7, 2016

Palm Trees in February?

Either you woke up in the Caribbean or we're talking about the Winter Garden.

This Sunday we'll be sketching at the Winter Garden Atrium the 10-story glass-vaulted pavilion on Vesey Street in New York City's Brookfield Place office complex.  Formerly called the World Financial Center], the 60-foot-high glass solarium faces sweeping vistas of the Hudson River with New Jersey in the distance.  It fronts the Wall Street Marina home to some of the most luxurious yachts in town.  The ice skating rink is open for anyone up to the challenge of sketching continuous motion.

SPECIAL ADDITION:  The Urban Sketching Board of Directors is holding their annual meeting in town this weekend..  They will be sketching with us in the morning.  Be sure to meet them.

YOUR HOSTS:  Your hosts for this event will be Shawne Cooper, Denise Markbreit and Elaine Langer.  Ask for them if this is your first time.
