A Touch of Autum at Fort Tryon

It was a bit of a nippy autumn day, but I was dressed right and comfortable. The trees had a little color, although I was hoping for more of a blaze of color. I started over near the herb garden. Surprisingly there were quite a few flowers still in bloom. From this spot I found I cold see a little bit of the George Washington Bridge peeking out between the branches.

Moving down a level or so there was an overlook where more of the bridge could be seen. It was a popular sketching spot and several other sketchers did this same view.

I've been participating in the Inktober Challenge for the month, so I needed to do a sketch using only pen. I headed over to the festival area. This crowd was watching a show that was going on. It helped keep them in one place for a while.

I had about 40 minutes before we were meeting to go do our show and tell. It was just enough time to this view of one of the tunnels in the park.

My thanks to Mark for finding another good location for us to sketch.
