Rubin Museum Of Art

It's been described as a mini Zen-like Guggenheim.  The Rubin Museum of Art is dedicated to the collection, display, and preservation of the art of the Himalayas and surrounding regions, especially Tibetan art.

Located at the former Barney's location, and built around an elegant spiral staircase, the museum's graphic identity was created by Milton Glaser.
The Rubin features more than 1,000 objects including paintings, sculpture, and textiles, as well as ritual objects from the 2nd to the 20th centuries.
